OPiS FiLMU – Nowojorski detektyw Scott Galban (Keanu Reeves) prowadzi śledztwo w sprawie zabójstwa swojego długoletniego partnera. Odkrywa, że był on zamieszany w szantaż i prawdopodobnie właśnie dlatego zginął. Próbując rozwikłać sprawę, Galban dowiaduje się coraz więcej ma temat wdowy po partnerze, Janine (Mira Sorvino). Jednak kluczem do rozwiązania może okazać się doznająca tajemniczych wizji młoda kobieta (Ana de Armas). Czy naprowadzi ona Galbana na trop mordercy?

PLOT – The basic story encompasses the murder of a corrupt cop whose partner Detective Galban’s (Keanu Reeves) keeps digging into the case to apprehend his murderer. However some subplots also go along with the main drama. A Cuban girl Isabel (Ana de Armas) lives in New York city, waiting for her husband’s return who serves in Iraq as a soldier. She stays with his family where his brother in law Rocky (Gabe Vargas) is the main suspect in the murder case. He refuses his involvement in the crime despite Galban’s continuous harassment. Some uncanny visions keep haunting Isabel and her mind hopelessly tries to find out meaning behind such mysterious happenings. She teaches in an elementary school where a little girl who is being neglected by her parents is her special focus.

 Galban’s boss in police department tries to dissuade him from going deep into the investigation because he believes if tarnished past of the murdered cop is explored, there is strong possibility that her widow won’t get the pension. But the widow herself wants an in-depth investigation to apprehend those who murdered her husband. Galban faces fathering issues regarding his son and he feels guilt in this matter but is helpless to solve it.
